ENVIROMENT ISSUES: Aberdeen's NEARSHORE Wind Farm I am sure all of us into wind and surfing watersports are happy to see the development of renewable energy projects. However it is up to US to show we care so that they are planned sensibly. Please read this current scoping report (which i have permission to place it on the site for you to download) which gives the initial proposal for a WIND FARM using the largest turbines (130-180m total height) at less than 1000 meters off the Aberdeenshire coast! I have volunteered to represent surfers and windsurfers for this issue, i am hoping to get Mark or Majek to represent kiters as it is highly relevant to them at Balmedie.
